Just harvested the sweet potatoes. Pretty much the last garden harvest of this year.
However I am renaming them “sweat” potatoes. According to Purdue U..,,

A special thanks to Kara for the rooted slips this spring! She started it from a potato she got at The Big Carrot. Organic parentage indeed.
Elsewhere in the garden everything is ready for a hard frost.
The weather has been great with plenty of rain all summer. I didn’t have to water the veg garden at all. Frost seems late and we are in for a whack of rain.

What a gorgeous deep colour! Your view is spectacular! I still have to pot my geraniums and bring them in – they are still looking. I find everything is hanging on much later this year. Can you believe we are almost in November? Have loved seeing your 21 garden. 🙂
Yes it’s been a funny year weather wise. My dahlias were so late they barely showed, but now, full of buds. Go figure. Perhaps we can convene for an adult beverage and celebrate the end of the season. Thanks again for your wonderful support!
