Halloween tomatoes

And not even the end of them. Still picking cherry tomatoes. Crazy mild weather. No real signs of frost damage in the garden yet.

Got another 55 daffodils in the ground. The forecast has a decent amount of rain tonight and tomorrow and 40% of showers every day next week. I didn’t water them in, but will if the rain doesn’t come.

I have started putting the terracotta pots into the shed. And a bunch of winter prep to go, more pots and the cushions. So glad I downscaled this year!

Just about done for 21!

Just harvested the sweet potatoes. Pretty much the last garden harvest of this year.

However I am renaming them “sweat” potatoes. According to Purdue U..,,

Cure sweet potatoes by holding them for about 10 days at 80-85°F and high relative humidity (85-90 percent).

Grown on the rooftop deck

A special thanks to Kara for the rooted slips this spring! She started it from a potato she got at The Big Carrot. Organic parentage indeed.

Elsewhere in the garden everything is ready for a hard frost.

The weather has been great with plenty of rain all summer. I didn’t have to water the veg garden at all. Frost seems late and we are in for a whack of rain.
