A long slow fall. A few days of heavy fog, out of the ordinary for us. Last cut of the dahlias. Pulled the last tomatoes. Can’t believe the colours this year. The Cornus Venus is simply resplendent. Dug in the last of the two cedars from last years winter planters. See, getting things done.
A special thanks to Kara for the rooted slips this spring! She started it from a potato she got at The Big Carrot. Organic parentage indeed.
Elsewhere in the garden everything is ready for a hard frost.
The weather has been great with plenty of rain all summer. I didn’t have to water the veg garden at all. Frost seems late and we are in for a whack of rain.
