I’ve been grazing on raspberries every day this week. Up to a cup at a time. Warmed by the sun and oh so tasty. Needless to say they rarely make it into the house. It will be interesting to see who gets to the kiwis and apples first.

Wow a lot done today. Inside plants out and tucked under the balcony.
Sumacs, Paw Paws, ivory sedge and big bluestem from Ontario Native Plants are repotted for the season.

One of those days you could watch the leaves open. Everything that could grew an inch. The great leaf unfurling. Had a total moment when a robin took a bath in the urn. I just sat there and watched in amazement.
Uncovered the pots on the roof deck. Something has or tried to nest under one corner of the deck. That will rot.

The columnar apples are doing there thing, actually only two and maybe the crab. The rest aren’t going to blossom this year.
Gorgeous day. Intermittent clouds 20c. Got out the sunscreen.
Having a week of heat again. Everything is getting ready or has popped.

A week of freakishly warm weather, breaking some daytime records in the high 20s, has everything bursting. Along with a surprise visit from a rabbit, again!

Apple blossoms are starting to show on about a third of the tree. Moving two of them into more sun to see if they come alive with fruit.

My time of the year! Lots to see and lots to do in the garden. Love it

A good spring rain last night. Enough to tip over some of the daffodils and give everything a good soaking. Azaleas are starting to open. Apple blossoms are next.

The weather is starting to warm up. Daffodils are opening, the apple trees are breaking bud, haskaps have first signs of blossoms. One acanthus is peaking out from the mulch. Exciting.

Tomatoes (Premio) have about 40 fruit formed and the one columnar apple is looking great. Now let’s see how long before some critters find them.
