Some weirdness on the trunk of the Cornus Venus. At first it looks suspiciously like an animal may have been involved, but no tracks or discernible teeth marks. The temperature did get below double digits, so maybe it froze and fell off. I’ve put chicken wire around it just in case it’s the former. Somewhat concerned.
