One a day

The tiny tomatoes have started.

It’s full on summer. Hot and humid and more baby things all about. Most notably the three baby robins. I can barely get a glimpse of them and no worthy photos. However

And the excitement does not stop there. Kevin dropped off Paeonia Suffruticosta – a purple tree peony in honour of my Mom.

I wish you could buy a hole when you buy a plant. Just saying…

Your garden is paradise! How have you got so much ripening? Importantly, how do you stake your cakes? Mine need some organizing. What a lovely idea re the peony for your mom. 🙂

Cattle panels! Available at most hardware stores aka welded mesh panels. That are about 8 x 4 and for less than $20 each I get two and make perfect, sturdy supports that you can almost use twist ties to put up. The weight of the vines helps hold them in place and the 4” x 4” mesh means you can reach in anywhere to access fruit or for pruning.
